Service Description

Learn the basics of deep learning and neural networks at the SF Go Club by building your own version of Alpha Go/Zero, the program that conquered Go, humanity's oldest board game. This course will consist of eight 1.5 hour in-person collaborative sessions each Thursday evening. Advanced knowledge of Go is not required, since the course will go over how to train the program to play at a high level. We will also cover how to integrate the ML model with a web application and deploy it online so users can interact with it; no prior ML background necessary, but intermediate knowledge of the Python programming language and coding strongly recommended. The course will be led by Linden Chiu, a backend software engineer formerly with LinkedIn's Messaging Platform team and expert go player. **Textbook is recommended and available for purchase at: https://www.manning.com/books/deep-learning-and-the-game-of-go
